I’ve read this article a few days ago about what Timbaland had to say about Jay’s new project and basically what I had thought about this album bein a sput-of-the-moment type of thing, is pretty much true. I think he Jay woke up and said “fuck it, why not?”

That’s the only thing I’m scared of for my friend.”MissInfo questions the idea of Jay-Z’s involvement with American Gangster as a “spontaneous whim” and leaves it at that. The actual details of how Jay-Z’s album came about will probably never be revealed but I like the idea of this being a spontaneous project. I think part of the problem with Kingdom Come is that it all seemed so calculated it was hard to appreciate.
