Hmm..Support Nas…or Lose $84 Million?

New York Assemblyman, Hakeem Jeffries has requested New York’s Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli “to withdraw the $84 million that the state pension fund has invested in Universal and its parent company, Vivendi.”
Thinking with an Associates Degree in business (lol) I’m pretty sure that Def Jam is going to pull the titile. $84 Mil is a lot of bread to lose. Either they’ll slowly back out of it or publicly say something like “We support our artist’s creativity but due to the upheaval from the masses and African American Community in light of the many racial hate crimes and injustices committed recently, we have decided that we do not want to be responsible for the disappointment of the listeners. The content of Nas’ album will not change but we will ask that he changes the title.” How’s that sound?

Lil Wayne and Jay-Z on “Hello Brooklyn”

Apparently it was Wayne’s song and Jay heard it and asked for it (and got it), that’s probably why it was called “Brooklyn 2.0″ on the leaked track lists. Shaheem from MTV News (I want his job) spoke to them both, more in depth with Hov though.

Also expect a new album from the Lox joint comin soon, via Rocafella, and Tru Life on the Dynasty 2 album. I guess all of Jay’s past beefs are done with..Lox, “Wayne,” Nas, “Amil?” Just got Cam, Jimmy Jones, and Pretty Ugly (LOL) left.
