Marsha Ambrosious feat. The Game - “What’s Going On”
At first you’d think it’s a remake of the Marvin Gaye classic, but it’s actually a remake of The Isley’s “Footsteps in the Dark,” better known as Ice Cube’s “Today Was a Good Day.”

Mos Def is playing legendary rocker, Chuck berry in the new movie “Cadillac Records.” The movie is set in the ’50s and tells the story of Chess Records founder, Leonard Chess and artists, Muddy Waters, Little Walter and Howlin’ Wolf. Joining the likes of Gabriel Union, playing Muddy Waters’ girlfriend, Geneva Wade, Mos will again share the screen with Beyonce Knowles, playing Etta James.

I held off on posting this until the official version(s) was out. Well, now there are two versions; one with, Peter Gunz’s offspring, Cory Gunz, and one without him. You Choose. I’m going with the Cory Gunz version. He killed his verse. Might have Renegaded Wayne…

At 14 cents a record, I guess you gotta enlist Danny Ocean.

State Property - Ocean’s Seven

Dwight “Beanie Sigel” Grant was sent back to prison on Friday after numerous violations of probation. Sigel submitted false urine samples and tested positive five times last month for Xanax and Percocet. He sited his reasons for the substance abuse as a way to deal with his financial troubles. Sigel can’t travel to do shows and the 14 cents-per-album deal isn’t cutting it. The Judge said 34-year-old Beans needs to “grow up” and sentenced him to 30 days. He was already serving six months in a halfway house under supervised watch after previous violations.
