The mint rolled out the new $5 bills today. They were shipped to banks nation-wide today, beginning the withdrawal of the old small-headed Lincolns. The new bills have two watermarks due to counterfeiters bleaching the 5s and reprinting counterfeit hundreds. Good scheme, if you ask me.

With Eliot Spitzer’s resignation effective after his involvement as “Client #9″ in a prostitution ring, I’d like to examine other elected public officials that have gone wild in recent history. Remember Marion Barry? This was the DC mayor who announced a war on drugs in the nation’s capital yet he was caught smoking crack in an FBI sting operation. It was just announced that DMC’s (DC, Maryland, VA) favorite, Wale, just inked a deal with Interscope. Dot, what you think? He spokle on DC radio and officially said that he signed with Mark Ronson’s Allido Records imprint and has been part of a bidding war since “Nike Boots.” Wale’s yet-to-be-titled debut LP will be in stores in the fall and feature production from Osinachi, Best Kept Secret, Just Blaze, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, 9th Wonder, Justice and DJ Toomp. The Seinfeld inspired “The Mixtape About Nothing” will be out at the end of this month and will have Julia Louis-Dreyfus aka Elaine on a skit.

Diddy’s girls and Trilla-man himself get together on this Runners-produced track off of their sophomore effort, “Welcome to the Dollhouse.” No lie, I’m feeling this one. Ross with a quick-flow is never a bad thing.

Bentley may be taking aim for the skies as Sami Hayek rolls out a concept of a Bentley Jet. The exterior is as classy as a GT or Flying Spur but the interior is more like a modern home.
