“Something, something, something, stack that cheese!”
Here’s Lupe’s newest video for “Hip Hop Saved My Life” featuring the beautiful Nikki Jean. The video debuted this morning on iTunes and is Fiasco’s third video for “The Cool” and features cameo’s for H-Town’s finest!
“What is this? Maybach Music. I like this Maybach Music. Sweet!”
Ok, here are the official numbers for last week’s hip-hop releases. Ross pulled in first with an impressive 198k units moved. Snoop’s “Ego Trippin’” takes second with 137, which is much better than the premature 80k total. Fat Joe’s “Elephant in the Room” manages to take #7 with 43k moved.
Trina feat. Rick Ross, Lil Wayne & Plies
Trina’s single off “Still da Baddest” gets hit with a remix featuring the rest of Khaled cohorts, including the man responsible for her being “still single.”
Weezy-We was in the UK this weekend and stopped over to do an interview with Tim Westwood. They covered a lot of topics from Lauren London, syrup-sipping, Pimp C, Tha Carter 3 and more and also drops a freestyle. The above video is of the show he did at Stratford Rex in London last night. A fan (can you really call this person a fan) threw bottle at Wayne and as he tried to leave, they threw more. It’s not as bad as when Pitbull got hit in the head.
Is that a cease and desist order in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?
Lil Wayne recently did a few print ads endorsing J. Prince’s Strapped condoms. Apparently Strapped Condoms LLC. has issued a cease and desist order for websites that don’t like their ads. The good folks at Highbrid Nation tipped me off to a grammatically poor written email going around ordering sites to take down their posts about the Strapped campaign. As Mike Belgrove at HN said, it’s laughable. Continue to read the letter. Read the rest of this entry »
“Crack Radio shouldn’t have no 50 Cent, man.” (As a 50 Cent song plays)
Joe took over 92Q in Baltimore (shouts to Miss Keke) and to promote the 33k-selling “Elephant in the Room.” Joe and Game seem to be forming an alliance to stop 50 Cent from riding on them as hard as he has in the past. A fresh-out-of-jail Game, along with Khaled and N.O.R.E. called up the show in support of Joe. Also, Fat Joe calling himself “the wire” won’t help the “Joey Rat” image.
