Rik Cordero is stepping from behind the camera and making his way behind the mixing boards with the first volume of “Lucid Dreams.” We’re used to seeing Rik working with the likes of hip-hop artists such as Nas and Consequence but he gets material from alternative sources for this tape. Major props to Sav for shooting this over, promptly after the Def Jam/Kanye West conference call, I assume. Ok, so at this point I’ve heard all but three songs, and I’m reserving judgment until I hear the retail CD.

UPDATE (10/25/08): Kanye West - “Robocop” (New)
This is supposed (shouts to Sav for sending it my way) to be the mastered version of Kanye’s second single, “Heartless,” of “808s & Heartbreak.” I see a minute details in the delivery and the sound quality is better (256 kbps). I would definitely download this version over any other version out there.

Here is the remix to “Lost!” of Coldplay’s “Prospekt’s March” EP. I posted some information about this EP a few weeks ago. Jay is a little rap-eco-friendly as recycles some material from a 2006 freestyle on Hot 97.
