When Capo heard that Kanye was mad that he closed Summer Jam instead of the Louis Vuitton Don, he blamed it on ‘Ye’s less-than-baggy apparel.
Jimmy said, “Kanye is the one in the industry who throws tantrums and people become used to it and we don’t take things he says too personal because he is like the ‘Revenge of the Nerds’ to me…He is the one who wears full button ups Danny Terial style! I don’t like tight jeans! I only like tight jeans on females and that comment is not just for Ye! It seems like jeans are getting tighter and sneakers are getting bigger!”
Um, correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t Jim’s jeans a little fitted, too? Remember Tru Life’s diss record? Regardless, my whole thing with tight jeans is that if it looks good and still looks masculine, wear it. Style is what you make it. I guess the question is where do you draw the line between fitted and tight?
Damn, those are very harsh words coming from the cop-killa-turned-tv-cop. Ice blames Soulja Boy –and Soulja Boy alone– for single-handedly ruining hip-hop for the Urban Legends mixtape which drops today. He also tells Hurricane Chris to take the beads out his head. That was actually pretty funny. These old heads really need to stop getting at Soulja Boy. To quote Wale, “Hip-hop ain’t dead, I believe it’s just the fans.”
Young Berg told XXL magazine:
“First and foremost, 50 told me some smart shit. 50 told me move him [Bow Wow] out the game, period. He told me to crush him. He told me demolish him…He told me do the ‘Do That There’ remix with him on it and then come up with my diss record and totally move him out of music. But, I don’t wanna do that. I can see me and Bow fucking a lot of bitches together My whole thing is either you’re going to be an alliance on this [Snoop Dogg] tour this summer, or it’s, ‘Fuck you!’ Period. I don’t need you as a friend. I came in the game by myself…If he gets on the record then we’re cool. “If he doesn’t cause he doesn’t want to, that’s fine. If he doesn’t cause he doesn’t get cleared cause of his current situation, I’m on his head again.”
Word? MOST ‘NO HOMO’ WORTHY QUOTE: “I can see me and Bow fucking a lot of bitches together.” - Young Berg
When the rumors of Eminem dropping an LP were confirmed this week, I was a little hyped. I think that a third or fourth quarter release from Em would be great for the game. I just wanna see the Eminem from 2003-’04 when he was crushing the Green Lantern Invasion mixtapes. Green actually has a blend tape out now that uses this art work, but has no new material.
“I’m always working — I’m always in the studio. “It feels good right now, the energy of the label. For a while, I didn’t want to go back to the studio … I went through some personal things. I’m coming out of those personal things [and] it feels good.”(Eminem on Hot 97)
“I’ve met with Jay-Z, I’ve met with Kanye, and I’ve talked to other artists about how potentially to bridge that gap. I think the potential for them to deliver a message of extraordinary power that gets people thinking (is massive).”
“There are times, even on the artists I’ve named, the artists that I love, that there is a message that’s sometimes degrading to women, uses the N-word a little too frequently. But also something that I’m really concerned about is (they’re) always talking about material things about how I can get something; more money, more cars.”
Obama spoke to Cousin Jeff on Bet’s “What’s In It For Us?” and spoke about his meeting with Kanye West and Jay-Z among his political aspirations for the black community.
“It’s not about the loss, it’s about the gain. We lost our homie but we gained so much from his life. That’s what people are realizing. People been so stuck in their grief and their pain, the pastor came and gave some good words. His mom, especially, got up there and gave people a lot of encouragement. To see his mom so strong made a lot of people realize, ‘Let me stop wallowing in my self-pity. If his mom can get right, we all can get right.’ It’s UGK for life — and Monday morning I’m back on these boys, so watch your ass!”
People are really mad that Jay-Z wasn’t there.

Aight, that headline may be going a little far but according to NYPigD, Fabolous’ Street Family is responsible for the robberies of a few celebrity robberies, including, Zab Judah, Sebastian Telfair, and former NY Giant, Frank Walker. Reports allege that Fab got shot after Street Fam snatched Telfair’s $50k chain.
T.I. graces the December/January issue of Rap-Up magazine and BallerStatus has an exerpt from the article where T.I.P. said:
“Suge’s the O.G., man. He keeps me out of trouble, believe it or not; he talks me down…Sometimes I be wildin’ out, then [Suge says], ‘Man, you got too much going on, you can’t do that. It ain’t like the old days.’ He’ll tell me, but I respect everybody. Jay tell me the same thing, Puff tell me the same thing, Kevin Liles — everybody trying. Wyclef is another one. People, I guess, just care.”
We’ve all seen these “Jay-Z Exposed” videos on youtube where Jiggaman’s former associate, De-Haven Irby, says that he’s gonna “expose” Jay for being a fraud and a foul dude. It seemed pointless to me but it got a little attention from Jay when he addresses it on “No Hook” saying, “Fuck Dehaven for cavin’/thats why we don’t speak. Made men ain’t supposed to make statements.” Well NYMag (one of my new faves) interviewed him and it was exactly what you should expect from this guy. He whined and complained (again) about how Jay left his people in the hood and ain’t take anybody with him to stardom. He also talks about how he and Jay got the blickthe clapthe dripsburnt…an STD from the same chick. I respect Dehaven’s point of view but bashin’ somebody on the internet probably isn’t the best way to go about it.
When he talks about you on “No Hook,” is he accusing you of snitching? I think he’s talking about the way I went about this YouTube project [and not about snitching]. But he’s into subliminal messages, so [I think] he’s trying to get me hurt. That goes beyond disrespect. He’s getting my safety involved. I can’t believe my own daughter’s godfather is trying to get me hurt. But it won’t work. Being that I’ve been in prison a lot of times, a lot of people know my credibility. They know I went all the way to trial with my federal case, and I won.
Recently Tony Yayo said that Superb wrote most of the tracks off “Supreme Clientelle” and Ghost replied in an interview with Rhapsody saying:
Yeah, I was in Europe when I heard that. That’s just nonsense. I still put mad sh*t out. ‘Perb was ‘Perb, Ghost was Ghost. ‘Perb is Rae’s man. He been in the studio a few times while we’re doing sh*t. He ain’t write sh*t. All ‘Perb contributed was a couple of lines that you could put in the air. When we write, we all do that. “Say this one right here” or “Put this one right here.” We all catch lines with each other ‘cause you in the studio. You got n*gg*s around you that write. Even if he did write a verse, he could never make an album of mine. He couldn’t make an album, you feel me? I made Supreme Clientele what it is. Those are my stories, based around whatever they’re based upon. It’s me. I can’t see what songs ‘Perb wrote. He ain’t write “Mighty Healthy” or “One” or “Apollo Kids” or “Cherchez LaGhost” or “Saturday Nite” or “Malcolm.” But, Yayo can suck a fat d*ck. Tell him I said that.
