Lil Wayne to Launch Champagne Line

Wayne has a lot to celebrate lately, and now, he can pop his own bottles –literally. Wayne is said to be launching a champagne line called Halo. The new venture is a partnership with Milestone Brands and French grower Voirin-Jume and will consist of many types of champagnes.
He will unveil Halo this fall with Halo Brut, Halo Brut Vintage, Halo Rose, and Halo Pinnacle varieties. “Champagne is for celebrating. There are so many different business opportunities … I want to take advantage of it all. I’m ready to put my foot in a new door,” Wayne said.
Branding is the smart thing to do with his recent success. But, does this mean he’ll put down the Styrofoam cup?

Alicia Keys picks up $25 or $50 Million Vitamin Water Endorsement

Conflicting reports have been released about a deal that Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys has possibly inked with Coca-Cola’s Vitamin Water.
The YBF reports that she has agreed to a $50 million endorsement deal while Mediatakeout reports a $25 million deal. Details on the deal are minimal, as the sites are focused on the sizable eight figures involved.
Major news outlets have yet to report on this so this is still just blogosphere banter. Mediatakeout stated that details would be made public next week. As details become available you can be sure that they will be on221.

Lil Jon is getting a California vineyard crunk as he launches Little Jonathan Wine. Currently available in California, the Crunk Wine will be available on bottom shelves everywhere within the next couple of months.

Shaq rides a horse as a jockey in this Vitamin Water ad that aired during the forth QT.
Speaking of the SUPERBOWL. When the Pats were on their streak, I rode for them and hoped that they’d actually have an undefeated season. They played the Giants for a 16-0 record and I still rode for ‘em. THEN, I realized that the Giants beasted themselves into the Superbowl and flip flopped. Do remember, “THE GIANTS PLAY IN NEW YORK…FORBES…123″ lol

HipHopSodaShop Grand Opening

The first publicly traded hip-hop company celebrated it’s grand opening yesterday, Dec. 18 in Tampa, FL. “The [11,000 square-foot] HipHopSodaShop,under parent company H3 Enterprises, comes complete with a healthy quick service menu, merchandising, a state of the art recording studio, 30 giant LCD screens, the latest Xbox 360 live video games, and a large area dedicated to competitive on-line video gaming.” It’s less than a mile away from the University of South Florida and hopes to quickly expand across America and eventually go intercontinental. Last nights’, grand opening featured performances and appearances from Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Cassidy, Busta Rhymes, Dougie Fresh, Tango from “I Love New York” and a few other D-list reality TV stars.
It couldn’t be a hip hop event if there wasn’t a fight so Cassidy’s and Jim and Juelz’s crews provided the drama for the evening. Sources say that Jim Jones and Juelz Santana left a VIP area when Cassidy arrived and the “DipSet Goonies” were staring down Cass. Jones came back with the crew and had words with Cass’ security guard who was hit in the head with a full bottle of bub’ and got knocked out.
Dr. Ben Chavis, CEO of H3, took the stage and attempted to calm things down. Eventually everything was back to normal and the place was packed by 9 p.m.
I really wish this place well so hip-hop can do more than clothing. Hip Hop is now incorporated! That’s big.
